1. What is GrothAi?

GrothAi is a LinkedIn and X (Twitter) growth assistant for founders and professionals. It includes a web application (grothai.com and subdomains) and an optional Chrome browser extension that assists with daily engagement workflows.

2. Data We Collect

When you use GrothAi, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
• LinkedIn post content: Text, impressions, likes, comments, and URLs of posts you choose to sync from your own LinkedIn activity page.
• X post content: Text and engagement statistics of your own tweets that you choose to sync.
• Engagement targets: Names, profile URLs, and recent public post content of LinkedIn/X profiles you add to your engagement list.
• Engagement logs: Records of comments and replies you submit through the app, including comment text, post URL, and timestamp.
• Follower counts: Periodic snapshots of your follower count on LinkedIn and/or X.
• AI API key: If you provide your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key, it is stored encrypted and used only to generate content on your behalf.
• X API key: If you provide your X Developer API key for auto-posting, it is stored encrypted and used only to publish tweets at times you schedule.

3. Chrome Extension: What It Accesses

The GrothAi Chrome Extension accesses the following pages on your behalf:

• LinkedIn activity pages (linkedin.com/in/*/recent-activity/): to read recent public posts of profiles you have added to your engagement list, and to read your own post history when you trigger a sync.
• LinkedIn feed (linkedin.com/feed/): to open the post composer and paste content you have written in the app.
• LinkedIn post pages (linkedin.com/feed/update/): to open the comment box and paste AI-suggested comments for your review.
• X (Twitter) (x.com/): to open the tweet composer and paste tweet text for your review, and to paste replies to tweets.
• GrothAi web app (grothai.com and subdomains): to sync authentication and settings between the app and the extension.

The extension never automatically posts, comments, or publishes content without you clicking the platform's native Post or Reply button. All actions require explicit user confirmation.

The extension does not collect or transmit data to any third-party services. All data collected via the extension is sent only to grothai.com.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core features of the app: daily wizard, engagement tracking, content calendar, and analytics dashboard.
• To generate AI-powered post and comment suggestions using your own API key.
• To track your engagement history so we don't suggest engaging with the same person twice in a short period.
• To display your post performance statistics over time.
• To auto-post tweets at times you schedule (only when you provide an X API key).

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on our servers hosted at 164.52.193.103 (secured via SSL/TLS). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. API keys are stored encrypted. We do not store your LinkedIn or X login credentials at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

• Anthropic / OpenAI: If you provide your own API key, content generation requests are sent directly to Anthropic or OpenAI. Their respective privacy policies apply.
• X (Twitter) API: If you provide your X Developer API key, tweet posting requests are sent directly to X's API. X's privacy policy applies.
• Google Sign-In: We support Google OAuth for account creation and login. Google's privacy policy applies to that authentication flow.
• LinkedIn / X (Twitter): The extension interacts with these platforms through your browser. We are not affiliated with LinkedIn or X.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@grothai.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
